A g 1912 VT Plate.   This guy does have some crazing and touch ups around the edges and odd touch-up on the numbers.  Still very displayable.  Nicely re-glazed.

  One of two known pairs of surviving 1920 Washington Porcelain Motorcycle plates.   As a single plate, very rare.  As a pair?  No chips into any number or date.  Nice gloss, no touchups.

A vg- 1906 MAR (First Issue)  This guy is now in house, and I decided to work on the corners.  As you can see, it has some great potential.   If interested, drop me a line.  Virtually no chips into a number or “MAR”.    Interesting number.

A g+ VT 1915 Temp Plate!

Here is a VT plate.  Good gloss and color. Noted chipping that has been color matched to the background.   Above average for this type of plate.

Here is a good MI 14.  no damage to seal or date.  Some poor tough-ups, but all the grommets!   Color match the white and you have a vg looking plate!   Blow it out price!

A f-g 11 CT dealer, 2 digit.   Started as a frog, but will end up a princess.   Plate is being restored.     

 

- Finnish restoration
- Dry Sand damaged glaze off plate surface (time consuming)
- Color match touchup of primary chips.

- Reglaze of plate surface.   High gloss natural appearance.
- Stunning cobalt blue under damaged glaze surface.

A ex- “beautiful” 1911 AR first issue.  A cool plate!  About as nice as they come.  I put the picture out there for all to enjoy!  A close competition to the AL 12 below!    You never know what turns up on this site!

But, alas, it has moved on..

A nice original g – g+ NC 16 plate.   Pretty nice gloss with solid metal (not a dug plate).  Very displayable and even more so with a decent touch up job.  NC plates are tough to find, and where can you find one this nice at the Winter Sale Price?

Here is a g BC 14 plate (3 digit).   Virtually no damage to any number or letter, except for a ding in the six.   Three digits in this type are almost impossible to find.   Damage to the bottom as shown.    OK gloss.  Displays well.  Large Plate.

A very displayable and rare 1916 NC Dealer plate.   Has touch up along the edges and a good coat of wax and polish.   Only slightly chipped into the “16” and repainted.    Plate has great gloss (re-glossed).   Back has been painted black.  Displays much better then pictured.  Available for Trade for any of the tougher stuff on my trader list.  Offers always considered.

A vg MA 14 dealer plate.   Minor chipping with excellent gloss.   Manufacturing defect (I believe) in the letter D.   Displays well.  Length is the same as a 4 digit truck.

A vg MA 14 truck plate.   Nice gloss.  Small chip as noted with a small grazing mark in the number 1.   Among the better ones I have seen.

A vg-/vg MA 14 Pair.   A very displayable pair of MA 14 plates.  Both have excellent gloss (Chips as noted: no touch up on either plate)  (Both bright white, with only one chip on one plate in place where it counts.

Note:   It was relayed that there are only about 32 known AL 12’s in existence.   Many of these are fair to poor.  This plate is likely among the best 2 or 3 plates in existence.  

 

Here is an ex- AL 12 (First Issue). No chips; virtually certain that the plate was never mounted on a car.  Very slight browning on far right edge.  

 

This plate is long sold, but a good example of what turns up on my website!

A f-g 1915 ME 3 digit plate.

This plate has good and bad points. The plate has no major chips to any number, name or date.  The plate does appear to have been in a fire and has a permanent “dirty” finish.  Displays OK with nice palindrome number!   A must for the palindrome collector.

Somewhat challenging to put on, but worth the effort!

Split Rivets for the 1916-1919 CA porcelain plate attachments.   Hard little guys to find.  Brass color.  Very close to the original Rivets.

A g-vg MA 14 Pair.   No, you are not seeing double.   Another very displayable pair of MA 14 plates.  Both have excellent gloss (Chips as noted: no touch up on either plate)  Only a slight nick in the five on the top plate.  Other plate is about vg.

A g+ CA 16 base plate.   This is a decent plate with good gloss.  All grommets. No touchup.   Slap on a 16-19 tab and you have a great plate for your collection.
