It is to this shop that people from miles around come to get things Jewish. It is fully stocked with Seder plates, Matzo holders, Haggadahs and other Pesach goods. You are asked to support Sisterhood by buying your gifts for Jewish occasions from this shop. If you would like to special order contact Marla Baer-Peckham. There is always some one around in the morning during secretarial hours as well as on Sunday mornings when Religious School is being held.

NON-RESIDENT TEMPLE MEMBERSHIP: Our Board of Trustees has now created a Non-Resident Membership upon the recommendation of our Membership Committee for those who wish to be a part of our Congregation but do not maintain a local residence. This membership is classified as a non-voting membership with annual dues of $120. These members would receive a Yearbook, Temple Times and any special mailings. Also, while these members are in town, the Rabbi would be available to them. In the event that these members establish a local residence, their membership status would be converted to a full membership.

Sisterhood Annoucements

SISTERHOOD DISCUSSION GROUP: The first Sunday of each month, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 NOON, this Sisterhood group discussion will focus on Jewish sprirituality and will be followed by a physical activity, such as a walk, yoga, or stretching. This group will meet in the Temple Library.

The group will be open to other topics throughout the year, so please submit your suggestions and/or book titles to Celia Cantor for consideration. Light refreshments will be served at each meeting. Come join us!

BREAST CANCER PINS & MERCHANDISE: The sale of Sisterhood's Breast Cancer Awareness Pins has been extremely successful. The Committee receives orders on a regular basis and we have just placed a new order to our manufacturer for additional pins. At this time I would like to share with you a letter that was included with a recent order.

"I am a 23 year old mother of a perfect baby boy. My mom lives 2,500 miles away from me in Florida

. My two sisters have also set their roots throughout this large country of ours. My mom was only diagnosed recently and I have been researching this disease via the Internet and through books. I have never felt so helpless in all my life. I have purchased your pins so my sisters and I may wear them when we all join my mom in her home next month. I thank you for what you have created and the time put forth in your effort to help fight this disease. Thank you."

THIS IS ONE OF MANY REASONS TO BE A PART OF SISTERHOOD!
