SISTERHOOD DISCUSSION GROUP: The first Sunday of each month, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 NOON, this Sisterhood group discussion will focus on Jewish sprirituality and will be followed by a physical activity, such as a walk, yoga, or stretching. This group will meet in the Temple Library.
The group will be open to other topics throughout the year, so please submit your suggestions and/or book titles to Celia Cantor for consideration. Light refreshments will be served at each meeting. Come join us!
BREAST CANCER PINS & MERCHANDISE: The sale of Sisterhood's Breast Cancer Awareness Pins has
been extremely successful. The Committee receives orders on a regular basis
and we have just placed a new order to our manufacturer for additional pins.
At this time I would like to share with you a letter that was included with a
recent order.
"I am a 23 year old mother of a perfect baby boy. My mom lives 2,500
miles away from me in Florida
.
My two sisters have also set their roots throughout this large country of
ours. My mom was only diagnosed recently and I have been researching this
disease via the Internet and through books. I have never felt so helpless in
all my life. I have purchased your pins so my sisters and I may wear them
when we all join my mom in her home next month. I thank you for what you have
created and the time put forth in your effort to help fight this disease.
Thank you."
THIS IS ONE OF MANY REASONS TO BE A PART OF SISTERHOOD!
