Dear Student:

Alexander’s Martial Arts & Kardio Kickbox conducts examinations for promotions quarterly. Each student who meets the qualifications for examination may test with the approval of his or her instructor.

Remember that your test will be inclusive of all requirements for the belt for which you are testing including any belts you have already earned. These requirements will be enforced more stringently as you progress higher in belt. Also remember that these are the minimum requirements for your test, you might be asked something that is not listed in your requirements.

In this book you will find your required techniques, kata (pre-arranged pattern of movements), self-defense techniques, and a list of suggested equipment for each belt level. Please use it as a reference for each stage of your training.

This book was designed specifically to be a tool for parents to use to help their children prepare for belt tests. It is not designed to teach the techniques, but should be a good way for parent to know exactly what to review with their children to help them prepare for belt tests.

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask your instructor.

Sincerely,

Joseph Alexander
