INSIDE THIS ISSUE:

NEW LEVEL I LEADERSHIP TRAINING PROGRAM

We are beginning the first phase of our new Leadership Training Program for Teens and Adults. The program kicks off with a three-hour class on Saturday the 3rd and we'll meet at Jordan Lane each Thursday for the next nine or ten weeks. Finally, we'll wrap-up with another physically challenging class and a written exam. Once students have completed the Level I training, they will become eligible to assist classes and begin earning credits toward a Level II certification.
The goal is to move in

terested students from Level I (able to assist a class) to Level II which is Level I plus successful completion of a Black Belt Schools International Level I Instructor Training College to a Level III which is 100 hours of on the floor experience and a Level II BBSI College completion.
By the time an Instructor is Level II certified they should be able to run their own beginner & intermediate classes. Instructors certified at Level III should be able to plan and execute classes for all levels of

students.
These training classes are ostensive to train instructors, but the skills should carry-over nicely to other leadership rolls. The leadership Program is open to students of Green Belt or higher rank and there is even a Junior Leadership Program which includes training in "XMA" for youth students. If you are interested in this program, please contact your instructor. Training is on-going, but orientation classes happen at specific times of the year and spaces are limited.

INSTRUCTOR TRAINING COLLEGE & LEADERSHIP TEAM TRIP TO SIX FLAGS

A group of our instructors are going to an Instructor Training College in Atlanta, GA. The College is April 15th & 16th and we are planning a "retreat" for the Leadership Team on the 17th (Saturday) at Six Flags in Atlanta.

All Youth and Adult Leadership Team Members are invited to come along. We are arranging discount tickets for Six Flags. The goal is for this to be a little of a break for those who work so hard to make our school so special.

Please contact your Instructor for details. Parents, please plan to accompany your child/children so we can make sure to keep everyone safe and happy. See you in Atlanta.
