AWESOME GRADUATION
AT VBC

Our group graduation at the VBC was a huge success! It was bigger and ran smoother than the last time. There are still a couple of "bugs" to work out but all-in-all it was a huge success. The biggest single change for next time is that we'll need to reserve both halls at the VBC because of the number of guests who attended the graduation.
I don't know that I could

over emphasize the impact of graduation on the youngsters in our group. Since we don't have "recitals" or other public events like a dance school might, this is the only chance where the kids can demonstrate in a non-competitive environment and the support of families and friends does tons to build the confidence of the young martial artists.
We look forward to

many more successful graduations and the opportunity to reward our awesome students. Thanks for the support and the patience while we have "ironed-out" the process of graduation.

UAH OPEN SCHEDULE CONFIRMED
AUGUST 7, 2004

"We will give complimentary entry to students who sell ads for the brochure. "

We have confirmed a date for the 2004 UAH Open. The event is scheduled for August 7th. We will be using both gyms and we look forward to this being our biggest and best event ever!

As in previous years, we will be putting together a brochure with advertising from local businesses and with the ring assignments for the event. We will give complimentary entry to students who sell ads for

the brochure. This year we'd like to get a head start and make sure all of the ads are turned in early enough to layout and print up the brochures.

MRS. KRISTEN A LEADER AMONGST PROFESSIONAL MARTIAL ARTISTS

Our own Mrs. Kristen Alexander is not only a member of the Board of Directors for Black Belt Schools International, she is also the co-NSSN for the state of Alabama. Her position makes her the state representative to the National Association of Professional Mar

tial Artists and she was recently interviewed for a two part segment on their National Consulting Audio Magazine called "The Sounds of Success" where she talked about running a successful school and how important the progress of her students as well

as the ability for them to grow is to the health of her school. So indirectly you are ALL celebrities and are making it possible for other schools across the country to have an impact in their communities--Thank You!
