Christ Our Savior works in several areas to spread the word of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to be good stewards of our resources by supporting those who need help.
We maintain a box in the church hall to collect items for our troops in Iraq. These are usually small snack items such as Slim-Jims and Jelly-Bears, but cash for phone cards is also very welcome and much appreciated by those overseas. If you can help, please put items into the box, or send money to the church marked “Troops Box”. Remember that the goods might be going someplace very warm.
Our program of making ‘Hearts” has been very well received at Bay Medical Center. The small red pillows in the shape of a heart are used by recovering surgery patients. When held against the chest or stomach while coughing or sneezing, it brings great relief.
A food pantry is run to help those who are really having a hard time. Your donations (non-perishable and/or personal items only) will be of great help.
The “Helping Hands” Thrift Store has been started in the rear of the fellowship hall. Donations are appreciated.
See the Events page for specifics on these activities..
