Another beautiful Djuma day, and another great WildEarth drive. Saw a couple of spotted hyena, looked like they might have been heading home after a busy night. Not sure why these guys have a bad reputation, I find them quite fascinating, and every bit as interesting as the Mapogo's or Wonky.. speaking of Wonky..



He's been quite the fixture around Djuma lately, thankfully for us. He's quite an amazing elephant and rarely seems to be bothered by the fact that there is a landie nearby.

Beautiful scene on the PM drive with the large herd of Buffalo, Rexon estimated that there was probably 2000-2500 buffalo. This image was merged with one from the large herd the day before, I just liked the effect. =)





So the guys came across this Scub Hare the other evening on the drive.. and I remembered seeing a Scrub Hare with a piece missing out of it's ear before.. so I went through my pictures and found it.. was back in Aug. of last year. I wonder if it could be the same Hare!
