Chili Dinner Fundraiser
General Information for Scouts and their Families
Dear Troop 350 Scout,
As a member of troop 350, you have
the chance to experience exciting events all year long. Only one of these troop-sponsored events, the
annual Chili Dinner, is a fundraiser for your troop. This year’s Chili Dinner will be held in St. John’s cafeteria, on
Saturday February 21st from 4PM to 7PM.
We didn’t have a Chili Dinner last
year, so some of you may not know how it works.
Here’s the deal…
- Each
scout sells at least 10 tickets at $5 each. Tickets will also be for sale
at the door.
- Each
patrol is assigned a chili recipe.
- Each
family cooks about gallon of chili (from the patrol recipe) and a desert.
- On-site
Dutch-oven cooking supplements the desert selection (and maybe cornbread).
- Like-recipe
chili is combined at the event.
- Sodas
and Tea will be provided.
- Boys
work, adults supervise.
- Chili, drinks and desserts are enjoyed by all. Hot dogs will be available as well.
- “Dine
in” or “To Go”.
- Proceeds
go to fund Troop 350 for 2009.
- Each
scout has received 12 tickets. Cut them out with scissors.
- Do
your best to sell at least 10 tickets.
- If
you plan to eat, you will need to purchase a ticket for yourself.
- Submit
money and any unsold tickets with you the day of the event.
