Dog's in my life.

I've had dogs for as long as I can remember. I started showing dogs in obedience back in the 1970's with a Keeshond, named JeAnna's Gray Dutch Treat CDX. My first Utility dog was a Dalmatian named Dominique's Rusty Nail UD, he was the number one Dalmatian in obedience for 4 years straight, he finished his UD (Utility dog title) at the ripe old age of 18 months. He accumulated 70 OTCh (Obedience Trial Championship) points, but after a tragic encounter with a car (Rusty lost that battle) he never got that championship. I owned the second male Bernese Mountain dog, in the history of the breed to achieve both a Chamionship (for his looks) and a UD (for his brains) Ch. Ouija v. Buttonwillow UD. In addition I've owned and trained Dobermans, Pointers, Weimeraners, Shetland Sheepdogs, Beagles, Border Collies, Australian Shepherds, and last but not least Jack Russell Terriers.

Crispin UDX TD OA AD NAC NAG NAJ

Crispin

Crispin is my most titled dog ever. He was the first dog I trained that actually placed at a Regional Obedience Championship. Crispin is retired now, keeping watch over the younger crew.

Fire

Willowbrook's Ready Aim Fire

Fire, while not yet titled (could it be his mom's fault?) is doing quite well in agility. I have high hopes for this young dog.

Stonewall JacksonStoney

Stoney is my first Jack Russell Terrier to train. He has been a fun, and challenging dog. His first show was March 10th here in Charleston, S.C., he took 2nd place in the Gamblers class.

Beau

Beauregard

Beau is my friend Ron's JRT. Beau isn't fooled by the offer of food into doing anything Beau doesn't want to do. Therefore, Beau will probably never be shown, he's a smart dog, too smart for us :-)

Bobbie

Robert E. Lee

Bobbie (do you notice a trend in southern generals?)is our rescued JRT. Ron hopes Bobbie will make his debut in agility in the fall of 2001.

Just Jill

Just Jill

We've got a Jack named Jill, aka "the Princess". She's a perfect example of never say never. I swore I'd never own a female dog, but here she is, sleeping under my feet right now. Look for her in the agility ring circa 2002. Pictured here at the LCDA Grand Prix 3/11/2001 taking her first jump at the tender age of 8 weeks.
