A special VDO Speedometer and Tach were used to update the
insturment cluster to a back-lit diffused and green colored display. The Speedometer has a LCD
display for the odometer and trip odometer. For the battery management system, a
VFD display has been mounted in the center of the dash. It shows total pack voltage,
as well as individual battery voltages. It also shows charger currents while
the batteries are being charged.
The Porsche remains flat around any level corner. This is due to the low battery
placement. The drifts are mostly neutral, some oversteer with no power, but while
applying light power it has a slight tendency toward understeer. Most days I use
50%-55% of battery capacity for my commute of 20 miles round-trip.
