Your reverie is broken by a flash in the sky, bright enough to be seen in daylight. You run to your landspeeder and grab your macrobinoculars.

It's a space battle! You're sure of it. Right in orbit above Tatooine! Why would anyone be fighting here? This planet is so backwater that the Empire doesn't even bother collecting its taxes half the time.

A brighter flash catches your eye, and you lower the binoculars to the horizon. A ship blazes a fiery trail through the sky. It looks like it's going to make it all the way to the ground.

The noise of the impact surprises you. You shouldn't have been able to hear anything this far away. You realize that it wasn't a huge ship far away... it was a very small ship very close.
