Small Business Management Professional and Microsft XP Publisher Cannot Be Verified Error

Question. Why do I receive the Publisher Cannot Be Verified Error?

Answer:  This is a new Windows XP Service Patch 2 warning error created by Microsoft for all downloaded software that is not developed by Microsoft.

Microsoft Automatic Update Caused Problem: "DLL Error when using Combobox selection on Windows XP platforms". 

CAUSE - Microsoft automatic updates causes msado25.tbl to be deleted for software publishers running Non-Microsoft programs.

RESOLUTION

1.  Turn off Microsoft automatic updates. 

Turn Off Automatic Updates

1. Click Start, click Run, type sysdm.cpl, and then press ENTER.
2. Click the Automatic Updates tab, and then click to select Notify Me But Do Not Automatically Update Files.
3. Click OK.

 

2.  Download and install latest SBMPro service patch or full product version.
