History

H. T. Parks, Company was formed for the purpose of developing and marketing of Small Business Professional, a complete business management software solution.  

mall Business Professional was conceived and designed in 1998 by Mr. Parks, founder and owner, out of a real world need for a comprehensive product capable of managing all aspects of a business. A product was needed that would easily allow a novice business owner or manager to keep track of major business metrics such as inventory, product margins, customers, revenues and employees. This product needed to be more than just an entry system, but a system to help a business owner manage all of the company major metrics.  Out of this need was born Small Business Professional with Power Tools.  The initial Power Tools included a Quick Quote Module that allowed detailed quotes to be prepared quickly with pre set company markup percentages. The ability to quickly and easily convert winning quote bids into billable invoices. And the ability to track and manage quotes and invoices over an extended period.

The product developed, quickly allowed the company to compete and win against major competitors and business chains. The system designed and used, so impressed his commercial and government customers that they soon considered Mr. Parks, small company equal to companies that competed on a much greater scale. And soon these companies began to look to him as a sole source provider for all of their product needs. A key product feature touted by many of customers, was the business software's ability to track any order from Quote to delivery. This feature is still at the very heart of Small Business Management Professional today.

Another, unexpected by product of the new business software was the eagerness of businesses who wanted to do business with other businesses (known today as Business To Business), who were organized, could provide quick quotes and track individual orders based on order number, regardless of the number of outstanding quotes or orders. In essence, business customers wanted to do business with companies that could provide a professional quote at any time, on any item, and track that supply request from quote to delivery.
