Frequently Asked Questions

Where did the name "AtomicFootball" come from?

We wanted to come up with something a little corny, actually. The word 'atomic' had gone out of vogue a little bit, and we wanted to bring it back.

What does the phrase "Solutio Optimus" on your logo mean?

We're certainly not Latin scholars, but we believe it means 'Optimal Solution' or 'the best answer.'

Do you guys rank all college football teams?

Yes, we rank all college football teams in both the NCAA and the NAIA with the exception of the members of the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) in the NCAA Division III.

Why don't you include or rank schools from the NESCAC?

The New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) members only play other NESCAC members. There is no way to rate them against the rest of college football since they have no game connectivity outside of their conference.

Why aren't you guys part of the BCS?

We would love to be a part of the BCS. But for now, we are just waiting for the invitation! If you know someone at the BCS, give them a call and recommend us.
