Our Nov. campout was held at Mill Creek Campground in Elkmont, AL. Robbie & I weren't able to camp because we were celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary.  We want to thank everyone  for helping us celebrate this occasion, and hope you had as much fun and enjoyed our Anniversary Party as much as we did. Thanks for being part of our family.

I understand from the minutes, that Monte & Carole Austinson, Richard & Ann Bumpus, Michael & Karen Cooper, Dick & Barbara Cowgill, Ted & Janet Ellett, Jim & Glenda Martin, Carol Spahn, Jerry & Denise Waggoner, and Jay & Jan White attended the campout and chapter meeting.

During the meeting it was decided to support the Dogs for the Deaf and Christmas Angel Tree again this year, with a donation of $300.00 ea.  Ann Bumpus and Karen Cooper will do the shopping for the Christmas Angel Tree.

Mark your calendars now, our Christmas Party will be Saturday, Dec. 10, 2012, 1 PM, at Ryan's Restaurant, 1808 University Dr., Huntsville, AL.  We will have a private dining room. There will be a $5.00 Dirty Santa, gift exchange. Let us know if you are planning to attend the Christmas Party, so we can let the restaurant know how many to expect.

Tom and Robbie Norman are on their cruise! What a great way to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.

Bob and Susie’s male Maltese named Buddy succumbed from his illness. We are sorry to hear of this.   Betsy the female was lonely and now has a Shi Tzu puppy named Buster to keep her happy.

Jay had arthroscopic knee surgery this month and is doing quite well.

Keep those in your prayers who have health problems.  Which is probably all of us is one way or another!

Don’t forget to pay your chapter dues for 2012 at the December Christmas luncheon.

Happy Birthday to:

Happy Anniversary to:

Howdy Y'all

As you probably know this is not Tom this month,  this is Jay White.  Tom and Robbie’s 50th Anniversary was November 11, 2011.  I wish to convey a very heartfelt  congratulations from the entire Cotton Patch.  We were blessed to attended a touching celebration at noon on Saturday.  Robbie was as beautiful as ever and Tom was glowing with pride.  I want to say thank you for letting us all be part of your joy.

This months campout was held at Mill Creek RV park in Elkmont, AL.  We had a nice turnout with 9 rigs represented at the meeting and one guest camped with us for the weekend.  Friday night was our annual Chili cookoff followed by our monthly meeting.  This year like last we had lots of good chili and our winner was Glenda and Jim Martin with “Picante Chili”.

It was cold Friday night and we huddled around the fire until we all called it a night.  Saturday morning was spent catching up on things new since last month, then getting ready to travel to Madison for Tom and Robbie’s party.  I was amazed to hear several comments on how well I “cleaned up”.  To tell the truth I thought the same about a few members myself but I will not mention names.

Saturday Night we had soup and salad and dessert as a light meal since none of us were hungry.  Some sat around the fire again and others played Mexican Train.  I should take time to mention that the wagon masters did a fine job so thank you goes to Richard and Ann and Jan.

This month we will have our annual Christmas meeting December 10th at Ryan’s with Dirty Santa.  Please bring one up to $5 gift per person for the exchange.  We will also have our installation of officers.  I am looking forward to seeing all of you there.

Keep the sunny side up
Jay White
