Black and Blue "Hot Stuff" - One helluva set list from the Black-Blue tour of 76. The band plays some funky licks
and heavy favorites such as It's only Rock & Roll, Brown Sugar and Midnight Rambler but also introduces newer tunes like Hand of Fate,
Hey Negrita, Ain't too proud to Beg, Fool to Cry, Hot Stuff, Starfucker
and Happy. If you need a sound-board from the tour, step right up and get your Hot Stuff!

Certain Chicks - Quality studio outtakes from mid 1978 to late 1979. Very guitar driven songs from pre-"Tattoo You" days. The arrangements and song selection is superb. Mick's voice is strong and shows confidence as they approach the end of the 70's. A glimpse of what Stones fans expect from Mick and the Boys.

Could You Walk On Water (2CD) - Original studio tracks, outtakes from 1972 thru 1979. The title of this set was originally intended for the "Aftermath" album released in 1966 but was forever scrapped due to the insensitive nature of Brian's untimely death. Comment from a fan: Disk 1 is the actual track line-up of the never released Decca lp before the songs were rearranged, deleted etc and released as Aftermath. Highly recommended.

Necrophilia (Unreleased 1972 Album) - Review from Vinyl Gang: This is the never-released album from 1971, 1972 which was pressed on a few acetates. All of the songs are either completely different takes or different mixes than from Metamorphosis.

The planned follow-up to Hot Rocks was to be titled Necrophilia, and was to have the tracks selected by the unpredictable
Andrew Loog Oldham. The disk itself is a vinyl transfer to CD of the actual unreleased album.

Philadelphia Special 1972 (2CD) - A Swing'in Pig release! (Collect 'em' All)
Legend has it these versions were first broadcast on Radio Luxembourg. Apparently 2 tapes found their way from a Stones concert (sold by a Stones associate) and made their way across the ocean. No one knows if the story is 100% true but certain individuals in the know claim this is how these tracks came to exist. It's been proven that the first airing came from a overseas radio station where they gathered a fanatical following. These are some of the Best quality tracks from the Stones 1972
World Tour. The rest is Rock and Roll history.

Sotheby's Reel
- (Glyn John’s work Tapes) Review: This release from Idol Mind Productions has a fantastic stereo sound.
This disk features so many classic Stones songs from late '69 through 1970 that it couldn’t be more palatable.
A must
The Sotheby’s Reel are Glyn John’s working tapes when he was the Stones' studio producer during "Let It Bleed" through the "Sticky Fingers" sessions, the Stones' classic rock period. The tape reel was auctioned some years ago at the famous Sotheby's London auction house and featured some different versions of songs that serve to let the Stones brilliance shine brighter.

Sticky Fingers
(Bonus Track Edition) - An indispensable collection with Ultra Rare Bonus tracks:
1. Brown Sugar, 2. Sway, 3. Wild Horses, 4. Can’t You Hear Me Knocking, 5. You Gotta Move, 6. Bitch, 7. I Got the Blues,

17. Let It Rock (B-Side).

The Alternate Sticky Fingers - Just when you thought it was safe to turn the volume down a bit, along comes a raucous hip lunging affair. The Stones, if given their choice of which edition to release would have definitely picked this one.
20 torso grinders included. Crank it up!

The Band's on Stage (Adelaide, Australia 1973 World Tour) (2CD) - Review: Much has been written about the Rolling Stones 1973 Australian Tour. The related rumors that this would be Mick Taylor's grand finale would definitely be proven afterwards but man, was he ever a great addition! This 2 disk set does capture the energy and exuberance Mick and the boys generated during this time but unfortunately, it's an audience recording. Overall, it's still the best we have from Adelaide 1973. If you were there, then you know how exciting it really was. If not, these disks will try and convey the "World's Best Rock and Roll Band" in action.

(4CD) - Compilation of rare outtakes from the 60's and early 70's. Includes the new Oldham Orchestra instrumental Hear It and new versions of Country Honk, All Down The Line and Brown Sugar. See More>

The Chess Sessions - These 26 famous tracks from 2120 Michigan Avenue (Chess Records) are a solid tribute to the Stones R&B idols. Keith has proclaimed this session was the turning point in his storied career. As a young lad in England who listened to these legendary performers - the thrill is evident on these spectacular recordings.

The Harder They Come (1978) (2CD) - A great set of tunes leading up to the mega-selling lp "Tattoo You lp."
If you're into the
Black and Blue era period Stones then this set will fit in nicely with your collection. See More> See More>>

The Killing Fields (Hells Speed-way 69) - An audience recording of the Stones most infamous concert; Altamont Motor Speedway.
The sound quality is very clean considering the time period and commotion thru-out the event but most importantly-you can sense the intensity of each and every song. Mick narrates and tries to cool the audience but the "hired" security force (Hells Angel's) has other plans. Time Trip (Volume 1) (1969-1972) - A Scorpio classic! Review: jfksmusic has called many titles they list on their site as rare or classic and in many cases they are absolutely right. In closing, if you get a chance to acquire the Trip series, by all means DO SO! Rich Fielder, (Yester-Daze Child)

Trident MixesIn late 1969, while the Beatles were recording "Let It Be" at Abbey Road Studios in London, the Stones were across town in Trident Studios with Nicky Hopkins breaking in their new guitarist, Mick Taylor. Their best efforts; some finished numbers, some instrumental backing tracks and some earlier recordings were preserved on two rare acetates which are available now for the first time on this album. The result is a historical look at where the Stones had been, where they were going and a rare chance to hear them at work in the studio.

Tropical Disease - 12 Rockin "Exile On Main Street Demos" from Mick and the Boys.
Exile is considered one of the Best Stones albums and it's no wonder! Here's what's included: Shine A Light, Loving Cup,
Shake Your Hips, Sweet Virginia, Good Time Woman, Stop Breaking Down, Let It Loose, Sweet Black Angel, I Don't Know (The Reason) Why, Highway Child,  All Down The Line and I Ain’t Signifying.. This is a must have-must listen disk.

We Lost Our Buzz At Long Beach (D) - If you're searching for a Stones set that truly captured the band during
their heyday (1972) with all the antics that made them "The Worlds Best Rock and Roll Band" then this is it. Unfortunately, the sound quality suffers and is considered poor at best. Still, this set does deliver the fanatical following from legions of adoring fans.

#5. Itchy Fingers (Let It Bleed & Sticky Fingers Outtakes) (1969-70) Comment from a fan: For sound quality and selection of material, I have simply not heard a better sounding Stone's studio outtake disk.  The sound on many of the songs, rivals, and surpasses that of the official releases. This is especially true, when you hear things like Gram Parson's pedal steel guitar work on "Wild Horses" or the different second verse to "Honky Tonk Women". The "I don't know the Reason Why" song is far superior to any other unreleased Jagger/Richard song. "Gimme Shelter", without the overdubs, and just Mick blowing his harp, is fantastic. You get some songs in developmental stages, so you can see how the songs matured. You get "Schoolboy Blues", if nothing else. (A.K.A. Cocksucker Blues) They don't come much better than this.

Liner notes:
According to legend the Rolling Stones owed their record company, Decca, one more song in order to fulfill their contract.
Not willing to give away something really good they recorded this last song in May 1970 at Olympic Studios, London. The infamous Cocksucker Blues, also known as Schoolboy Blues is presented here in two versions. First the full electric take with the band. Then the same song played and sung as a howling, lonesome blues with just the Glimmer Twins on acoustic guitar and vocal. It was the second version they handed over to their record-company:

#6. It's Only Rock & Roll Outtakes Unreleased Studio-outtakes from the years 1970-1975 can be heard on this CD.

Mick Taylor

I'm Electrified, (When I Play the Blues) (2CD) - Stories have been written as to why Mick Taylor left the Stones when he did.
After all, he was in the most successful and celebrated group in musical history. Who would trade fame and fortune for obscurity?
If convictions are anyway to measure a persons musical drive then we have a clear answer, the Blues.

Mick was brought up in the era when the Blues wave swept the U.K. in the early to mid 60's and never looked back.
This 2 disk set will definitely not disappoint if you love guitar driven tunes.

Disk 1: Twisted Sister, Secret Affair, Losing My Faith, Late At Night, Blues In The Morning..
Disk 2: Can't You Hear Me Knocking, Red House, Goin' South, You Gotta Move, No Expectations..
