My Real Pride and Joy in life is Stephen, Rebecca, and Jackie |
|
| Stephen (my son) | The day that he was born
was a big day in my life. He is wild about computers,
radios and trains (just like his dad!). He loves to watch
western movies and Scooby Doo reruns on TV. His favorite
toys include Star Wars figures, Power Rangers, any kind
of tools (hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, nails, etc)
(but mostly they should belong to me), any kind of box
(just like most kids), and musical instruments. He loves
classical, band, and jazz music (again like his dad). He
can already "play" trumpet, clarinet, flute,
piano, and drums. He has recently become a big fan of Space and Futuristic space movies and shows, like Star Trek, Star Wars, etc. He thinks that Star Wars is the greatest "new" movie to be released in some time (He doesn't understand that Star Wars is a 20 year old movie). He and I have a great time watching our Star Wars movies. |
| Rebecca (my daughter) | The day she was born
was also a big day in my life. She is wild about her
Daddy. I was happy to get a Daddy's girl this time
around. When I come home from work, she is the one that
greets me at the door. She won't leave my side until I
give her a hug and a kiss. She plays on her own and with her brother, Stephen. She loves his toys (especially the one he happens to be playing with at any particular time). She likes to be helpful and wants to help set the table and help in the kitchen. She has a great sense of humor, also. Even at a young age, she enjoys a good practical joke. She may not totally understand what she is doing, but she enjoys it. |
| Jackie (my wife) | Jackie's hobbies include music (she plays clarinet and plays at the flute and piano), needlepoint, gardening, and various other arts and crafts too numerous to mention. She is starting to learn to use the internet as a tool for her hobbies. She is a Registered Nurse and presently is not working at a public job (she has her hands full raising Stephen and Rebecca). She does volunteer work for Stephen's school and for the Church we attend. We were married on June 16, 1985. Jackie's favorite musical styles are band music, classical, and 70's and 80's pop. |
| Family Pets | We had two pets, Speedy and SlowPoke. They were
gerbils and we had a great time playing with them. They
were black with white feet and white spots on their
chests. They had a home in our living room where they
loved to run around all day and night. SlowPoke died while we lived in Murfreesboro. He was buried in our backyard under a dogwood tree. Speedy died while we lived in Harvest (where we presently live). He was buried in our backyard under an apple tree. We then adopted a new pet into the family. He is an albino hamster. We have named him Al Bino Fulks. Stephen loves to play with him and Rebecca thinks that he is wonderful. She wants to pet him all the time. Al was a wonderful pet for the kids and he survived for several years. Next came Chip and Dale, a pair of gerbils. They were brothers, taken from the same litter. Chip was a bit of a challenge in that he liked to bite. Dale was a challenge in that he was an escape artist. Actually, that is what brought on the end of Dale, he escaped and never returned. Chip lived for a while but was never the pet that the kids wanted. Next came Beemer, a 15 inch beagle mostly. He is still with us. He believes that he is the center of the entire family. But he is all beagle and therefore trouble follows close behind him, where ever he goes. |
