Just the mere word ‘diet’ implies something you do
temporarily. You diet against your normal eating
patterns which are controlled by your subconscious
mind.
You may lose weight, but it is usually only
temporary. As soon as you stop your costly dieting,
your old eating habits and beliefs return again and
your body goes back to what it was doing before the
diet. Have you ever faithfully follow a diet, only
to gain back all the weight - plus more?
The main reasons diets fail is that they focus on
loss and deprivation.
What's the first thing you think of when you lose
something? You want to get it back, right? And when
the body is deprived of food it follows the ancient
"famine or feast" syndrome: as soon as food becomes
available again the body stocks up, storing more
than it needs against the probability that you'll
deprive [diet] it again soon. Is it any wonder that
that spoonful of forbidden chocolate cake leads to
abandonment of your diet - and a gorging on
chocolate cake?
Before you even begin, you know it will likely lead
to the well-known yo-yo-ing of weight loss and gain.
So why are diets so popular when they just don’t
work?
The power of television with a never-ending stream
of diet-promoting articles and pictures in
newspapers and magazines plus ads and interviews on
radio.
At the same time, the Junk Food Industry [JFI] uses
similar techniques to persuade you to consume
unhealthy, artificial "foods".
The combination of dieting and consumption of junk
food creates guilt and excess weight. Guilt and
excess weight lead to more ingesting of junk and
more dieting and the depressing spiral feeds on
itself.
Overeating and Your Subconscious Mind
This program is
designed for those who are overweight as a result of
overeating, as well the result of physiological
causes. If you fall into the category of overweight
overeaters, and your problem is not in your
metabolic rate; it is probably in your subconscious
mind.
It takes permanent changes in the subconscious part
of your mind to program permanent lifestyle changes
that will make maintaining your weight goal
automatic, without discomfort. You need to learn
what is causing eating behavior that results in your
unhappiness. The reason(s) you overeat may not be
clear to you, but there there are only a few major
causes that will require only a few changes.
The beliefs and habits you hold concerning food are
controlled by your subconscious mind. These are
beliefs and habits you may not even be aware you
have, but they are keeping the weight on your body.
Your subconscious mind is very powerful, so no
matter how hard you consciously try to break a habit
at a conscious level of mind, the subconscious will
always win. Eventually causing you to go back to
what it considers ‘normal’ behavior for you.
Do you know why is this extra weight - caused by
dieting - so dangerous? Because it leads to despair
and increased danger to your health.
How Can Hypnosis Help?
Hypnosis solves the
one issue which prevents most people from changing
their eating habits, moving about and drinking lots
of water: lack of motivation. Post-hypnotic
suggestions, which are given to you, enable you to
release excess weight, stick to your movement

This happens because, with the aid of hypnosis, you
change the negative messages in your subconscious
about your weight to positive messages. Your
subconscious then motivates you to do all that is
necessary for you to change your unhealthy habits to
healthy ones.
Examples: instead of "There's no way I can change
what I eat", you might counter this with the
suggestion "I enjoy choosing a variety of healthy
foods."
Instead of "I have to eat everything on my plate",
you might substitute "I choose to enjoy smaller
portions and find them as tasty and as filling as
larger portions used to be."
Instead of "I hate exercise", you could re-program
yourself to believe "I choose to enjoy [cycling,
swimming, walking, gardening, etc.] on Mondays and
Saturdays."
In other words we reprogram negative old habits that
have sabotaged your weight goal efforts in the past
with new an positive eating behaviors.

body works (lots of information that diets don’t
tell you) but we will work on the eating behaviors
that specifically impact your weight. Each session
is a private, personal, one-on-one session both in
personal coaching and hypnosis and we meet once a
week. The duration of the program depends on its
individual needs. Each hypnosis session is taped so
that you can listen to them during the week for
reinforcement.
