HLA Annual Wine and Cheese Membership Party

Join us on Sunday, September 27th, from 3 to 5 p.m. as Jerri McLain opens the doors and gardens of her lovely Greek Revival-style home to new and renewing HLA members. A selection of wines and refreshments will be served as guests enjoy each other's company and the Zeitler-Hill-McLain House. Located in the center of historic Mooresville, Alabama, this graceful home features Doric columns to emphasize symmetry. The circular fanlights over the entries are typical of the Federal period. Designed by one of Alabama's first female architects, Carolyn Cortner Smith of Birmingham, construction of the house began in1927 and was completed around 1945.

We are grateful to Jerri McLain and family for hosting this delightful event. Guests will doubtless be intrigued as they drive through the surrounding town of Mooresville, located just eight miles from the Huntsville International Airport. The entire town is on the National Register of Historic Places.

Although the Wine and Cheese party is open to HLA members and guests only, the public is encouraged to come and purchase a membership at the door. Dues begin at $20 for students and $35 for regular members.
