This patch contains 2 files. The ad5game.exe has been modified to
translate most of the text that is stored in Dialog box resource files.
The ad5data.dll file translates all Countries Weapon Names, all General names, and the mission briefings/debriefings for the Polish, French, British, North Africa, and Balkan scenarios. Also 9 Eastern Front scenarios that
conclude the historical campaign from 1942-1943 are translated. This patch translates 10 Alternate History scenarios set in 1948. These represent 41 out of 54 scenarios in the game. There are still 13 1941-42 Eastern Front scenarios remaining to be translated.
Just unzip these files to your ADV /exec directory.
ADV Patch - Tactics Screen PXL Files (2/22/07)
Files in PXL format are used to display graphics in ADV. I have modified
most PXL files that are used to paint Dialog backgrounds. This is the only
way to translate some of the text in the game. The contents of the ZIP file
below can be placed in the ADIV /exec directory to translate Strategic/Tactics
Mode Dialog Text. All .PXL files used in the game except for the "Unit Details" dialog are included in this release.
