The historical society meets at 7 p.m., 4th Thursday of each month except that there are no meetings in November and December, and the June meeting is usually a picnic at the Roundhouse museum.  The Roundhouse is located near the corner of Front Street and Church Street, across the railroad tracks from Main Street, on the Village Green in the historical district.  It stands on the former location of the railroad depot, whereas the original Roundhouse was located on the south side of the tracks, just east of Main Street Cafe, which was the 3rd City Hall from the 1950s.

The June meeting is normally scheduled as a picnic for the Historical Society members and their guests plus interested members of the public.  It is not always held on the 4th Thursday in June, and it typically begins around 6 or 6:30 p.m. It is generally held at the Roundhouse unless other arrangements are made.  Call any officer of the Society to check on details and scheduling.  (By the way, as shown below, the "Roundhouse" is octagonal and on stilts.)
