If you need to cut a whole sheet into trading cards, here is the best way on how to do it.  Trading cards have to be 2.5" x 3.5" (no bigger or they don’t fit in the  baseball card holders).  With that said, here’s the best tip I ever got for  cutting them:

How to get 10 trading cards from 1 sheet of cardstock:

Take 1 sheet of 8.5 "x 11" cardstock

Turn paper onto 8.5" size and cut it at 3.5"
then  at 2.5"
and 2.5" again

You will have 3 strips of paper - (one) 3.5" x 11” and (two) 2.5" x 11”

 Now take the 3.5" x 11” strip
Turn it on the  3.5" side and cut every  2.5"

Then take the 2.5" strips and cut them at every 3.5"

This makes (10 ) 2.5 x 3.5"  trading cards!

This tip is provided from my friend, Claudia Perry whose tried it and says IT REALLY DOES WORK !!!!

Now what about cutting a layer of paper just a wee bit smaller to layer and frame and a layer under that???  Just kidding, sort of!

For the trading cards I’m currently making below, I have the main image mounted on one size, another size under it to frame it, and then the final piece of 2.5” x 3.5”.

So if anyone has any tips on cutting out those multiple sizes easily, please, please, please post it to the list.  Because this would be a common thing we will all encounter repeatedly if we are to make lots of trading cards.

And to really complicate things, I had to make a SERENDIPITY trading card!  As you can see the squares on this card are not each perfectly the same size.  Tips on getting that right, anyone??????
