Axworthy Flying Ghost
The Multi Height and weight version

(the one that will stay on track)

With little to no trees in my yard but with the high desire to make a working flying ghost, that is one that did not come off every other time it went by a turn point.
I adjusted the weight of the ghost to nearly nothing it helped but you ended up with a scarf running around the yard. :)

I came up with the project that you see below.

This project is the basic axworthy flying ghost (not shown) with the mods to the pulleys and turning points that you see below. You will need to search the net for the basic instruction for the flying ghost. It should not be to hard to find one you like just adapt the guide pulley system below and you are in business

They say a picture is worth a thousand words so...  I took a lots of each arm from different angles. hopefully that will make up for the lack of instructions. If not email me with your questions and I will do my best to answer them.

As far as parts ....

Most everything you can get a LOWES

1/4 nuts and bolts
1/4 Lock Nuts
Lots of washers
4" Garage door Pulleys (much better than bike wheels)
1 1/2" Garage door Pulleys
1" L Shaped garage door opener brace various lengths to suit your needs
1" conduit pipe if no trees are around to mount too
Black spray paint (of course)
For the line I recommend spider fishing line it is very hard to see even in the day time. But be warned if  your  line is low make sure you rope it off so no one losses a head. :)

Mount
Brace to pole mount.

Use a piece of PVC larger in diameter than your pole and pound it in to the ground to make a easy way to set the pole every year. just be sure no ungrounded wires are below. be sure to pound it all the way down to the ground so you will not mow it down in the summer.
