My mummy is better than yours?

Skill Level Novice

Please do not be afraid to attempt! It is very easy to do! Work in a well lit area, and make sure you have plenty of time to complete the project.

What you will need.

12" x 14" piece of 1/2" thick plywood for base
60" of 2x3 lumber body
22" of 2x3 lumber shoulders
Glue gun and glue sticks
Screws 3"
White duck tape
Heavy aluminum wire
wig form
1/2" Dowel
king-size Quilt batting
3-5 yards of Muslin depending on with, I recommend pricing all sizes. My first one I went with what the sales person gave me (45") it was 1.99 a yard. went back for more and there on the shelf was 38" with for .99 and it was on sale for .69. since I was going to cut it up any way that was a big savings.

Khaki spray paint
Table Saw
Hammer
Drill and bits
Wood Screws

Instructions:

Cut Shoulders 22"long out of 2x3 lumber

Cut Body 60" long out of 2x3 lumber

Cut base 12"x 14" from 1/2" plywood

Drill 1/4" hole 1" from both ends of shoulders

String wire thru shoulders to equal lengths on both sides

at center of shoulders screw long screw thru center of the shoulder piece. screw on the dowel

Attach base and shoulders to the body with 2 3" screws

Cut batting for body 20x60. place over top

Shove wig head down on to dowel

Roll up tubes to make arms, legs and feet

now rap me up. I will not pretend to tell you how just cut the muslin into 2"~3" wide long strips and use the hot glue gun to attach

now lightly spray with paint to make it look aged.
