Dave and Harold presentFaith Children's Home - Tampa November 2007 (right)

     Dave (left) and Harold talk to the children about the U.S. Marine Corps during the Civil War in Florida.

     Both Harold and his wife (who also dresses in period clothing at events) work with the children at the home.









Carlos is back!

     Carlos (right) with our Chief Boatswain's Mate on the field just before the Brooksville Raid (January 2008) battle. Carlos has returned after an extended medical leave and wore a spare marine uniform.

     While on leave, he researched Henry Crane, who was a Unionist in the Tampa Bay area.  (Crane was also a pilot and guide for the U.S.S. Tahoma, held the rating of acting master's mate, and eventually became an officer with the local U.S. Army Calvary.)  Carlos is planning on a first person impression of Crane.




New Marine Sergeant


      Corporal Dave is now brevetted to the rank of Sergeant.  A request has been made through formal channels to officially raise have to Sergeant has been made and is under consideration by the Marine Commandant.
