Hillsborough River Raid at Veteran's Memorial
Park (Tampa). The original battle took place at
Ballast Point, Tampa. Sponsored by the
Hillsborough County Parks, and Hosted by the USS Fort
Henry. No fee for reenactors. Reenactors can stay
overnight in period tents. Battles with amphibious
landings (like the original battle) by Federal troops
will take place at 1:30PM Saturday and Sunday. As
the original battle was a US Navy raid against the CS
Home Guard and several CS boatmen were involved, we
encourage US and CS Navy reenactors to participate as
well as army/home guard reenactors. Free
Saturday evening meal for reenactors. No mounted
troops. Small Sutlers fee (payable to "Friends of
the Park Inc."-contact Jesse). Artillery is

24th Annual Ocklawaha River Raid.
Near Silver Springs/Ocala. The event will take
place at the Marion County 4-H Farm located on Highway
35, just south of the intersection of Highway 35 and
Highway 464, in Ocala. Powder rations will be
provided to the first eight cannons pre-registered by
October 25. Two battles. Saturday night
ball. DIRECTIONS:
From
I-75 north, take Exit # 341 (the Belleview - Dunnellon
exit) to Highway 484. Go east on Highway 484 for
eight miles, to the traffic light intersection of
Highway 484 and U.S. Highway 27/301/441. Go across
27/301/441 and continue east for four blocks to the
traffic light intersection of Highway 484 and Highway
35. Turn left and go north on Highway 35 for aprox.
five miles; the site entrance is on the right.

Living History. Jacksonville, FL. The
Invasions of Jacksonville. Historical
interpretation of the invasions, defense and occupation
of Jacksonville, Mayport Mills and St.
Johns Bluff 1862 - 1865. Military, medical and
civilian impressions are needed. Artillery and
infantry drill and firing demonstrations. Meals
for registered reenactors and living historians.

Civil War Heritage Days. Key West Florida.
The event features a parade down the world famous Duval
Street to Fort Taylor, artillery and infantry
demonstrations, period crafts, a land/sea battle, and a
period ball. New on this year's schedule; a court
trial of a captured blockade runner and a skirmish on
the beach. Primitive tent and dry RV camping is
available. Directions, Take US 1 south to mile

143nd Anniversary of the Battle of Natural Bridge-
Woodville. Fla. (Near Tallahassee). Battles both days/
very relaxed event. The battle begins 2:30 p.m. no fees.
Potluck dinner for reenactors on Saturday night; Dance
to follow.
Sutlers and artillery
by invitation only. We need Yankees! Sorry but the
small battlefield makes it necessary to exclude mounted
cavalrymen. Artillery is by invitation only.

at Narcoossee Mill. St. Cloud Fla. southeast of
Orlando by Kissimmee. The Battlefield is on 150
acres of open and wooded land on the shore of East
Lake Tohopekaliga. Friday, the 27th, is education
day which begins at 9:00am; re-enactors are needed to
provide demonstrations. Take Hwy 192 (Irlo Bronson
Hwy) to Hwy 15. Go 2mi North on Hwy 15, look for the
park sign. Another way to get there (from the
North) is to take I-4 to the toll road 528 (Beachline
Expressway) go east and get off on Hwy 15 exit (Narcoossee

Parrish Train Raid.
From south Fla. take I-75 north
to Ellenton like you are going to Gamble Plantation.
Instead of turning to the west, turn east on Hwy 301 to
the town of Parrish. From Lakeland, go south on
Highway 37 (It dead ends in to Highway 62). Turn
west or right on Highway 62 toward Parrish. When
you hit Highway 301, turn right and immediately right
into the Post Office. The train stop is right
behind the Post Office. From Orlando, come Highway
17 south to just south of Bowling Green. Turn west
on Highway 62 and take it all the way to 301.

Annual Federal Garrison at Ft. Clinch State Park.
Barracks accommodation provided, meals and the
opportunities for first person interpretation of the
Civil War (Federal) in exchange for a participants fee
of $12.00 and agreement to help tell the story of Ft.
Clinch and garrison duty in 1864. Period correct
camps can be set up right outside the fort. There
is an area for modern camping but it is best to make
advance reservations for a spot. There will be
plenty of "off duty" time to go to town and enjoy some

Days skirmish at Heritage Village in Largo Fla. (U.S.S.
Fort Henry maximum effort - hosting unit.)
This event allows the spectator to see various aspects of
the Civil War era. Spectators will be encouraged to
participate in various "hands on" activities focused on both
military and civilian life. Sutlers, food and beverage
vendors will be on site. The event hosts ask that the
reenactors be very pro-active in informing the spectators
about uniforms and gear, their units, feelings about the
war, etc. ARMS: No pre-loaded weapons to be brought on site.
Pistols to be inspected unloaded by the safety officer and
tagged. All weapon firing is to be coordinated through the
event hosts. Artillery powder subsidy to the first two Union
and first two Confederate pre-registered field guns (contact
Lew Zerfas). Event opens 9 A.M. Skirmish (new battle plan)
at 2:30 P.M. Reenactor/sutler/vendor registration: Gate No.
2 open for registration and setup 7:00-8:30 AM (event opens
