          Here is a grab bag of all other plates I have picked up over the last few years.  Most of these guys are vg to ex condition or as noted.     These are available for trade or purchase.   These are in no particular order, just like you may find in a yard sale or antique shop!    Your purchase must total at least $15.00 to order from this page and/or the AL graphic web page.  I will try to put enough on this page or the AL web page so that this should be relatively easy to do!   I also offer a quantity discount, for purchases over $50 and $100.   Now is the time to stock up with a few traders.  Postage will be set to the actual cost and will vary by the method you select for shipping.  (I do not mark up postage or charge a handling charge, except for pay-pal purchases).   Click here to view the most common Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  Why do I need a minimum order?

 

    It takes a considerable amount of time to pack and ship plates.  I do not mind investing the time, as long as it is fruitful to do so.    It takes very little more time to send 20 plates as it does one.  Since I have a family and other commitments, I cannot drop everything for a $2 plate.   The minimum order justifies the time required to process and ship the items.    As a reward to those purchasing more then the minimum order, I will apply an additional discount as the total goes above $50 (5%) and $100 (10%).   (excludes plates valued over $50)      

 

 

vg to ex condition

 

    Most plates on this page are vg to ex-.   A few are un-issued.  If the plate is not at least vg (bolt hole scratches and possibly a minor scratch to the plate surface), it will be noted.  I don’t have any relatives that work at the local registry office, but I have friends who have relatives that work at the registry office!   

 

FAQ

 

   Q1)  Am I buying the plates shown on this page?  

 

   Sometimes yes (for states other then AL), but often times no (for AL plates).   If you must know the exact month, year, county or number, for a particular base style then let me know, and I will try to get that information.   (i.e. You may want a Birmingham County 99 AL and I may send a Madison county 98 AL, if both use the same base)

 

     Q2)  Will the plates sent be of the same condition as those shown on this page?  

 

   Unless otherwise noted, they will be from vg to excellent.   If you must have excellent, then let me know that requirement.  I generally send the best plate available from the stack and offer lesser plates for a dollar or so less.  If I get a common plate that is less then g, then it usually goes to the recycle bin  (i.e. plate has been on a car with a trailer and the middle is mashed or worn clean to the metal).

 

     Q3)  The plate I wanted was just here, but now it is gone?  

 

   My sales have picked up on this site (especially the porcelains) and you will not want to wait if you want something.   I am averaging 200-300 hits per month.

 

     Q4)  Does the price include postage?  

 

   No.  I will quote postage from my zip code to your zip code.   Please specify if the package is to be shipped parcel post or priority (USPS).   I do not charge a handling fee or a packaging fee, if paying by check.   (See Q7 for PayPal discussion)

 

     Q5)  I acquired a pile of un-issued AL “you name it” type plates.   Would you be interested in the entire lot?  

 

   Yes.   Let me know what you have and your asking price.  

 

     Q6)  I would greatly prefer to pay for my purchase with PayPal.   What are the costs and procedures?  

 

    I now accept PayPal, (sgaj@knology.net) but there will be a handling charge associated with the sale.   If you pay by check or money order, there is no handling charge.    The handling charge covers the cost of processing funds through a third party.   The associated fees are as noted:

     Q7)  Why don’t you have a shopping cart?  

 

     I am a license plate collector and not a corporation.    I spend 9 hours a day on a computer as it is, I don’t have time to fool around debugging other peoples buggy html code.  (I have enough trouble debugging my own buggy C code!)
