My Background My Parents were born and raised in Ohio. They moved to Michigan in the 1920's. They had four children in Ohio before moving to Michigan. They were John Robert, Doris Louis, James Richard and Warren David. They had three more children after arriving in Michigan. They are Rosemary, Donald Lowell, and Norman Kenneth (me).
Our father worked for The Ford Motor Co. and was one of the first to earn $5.00 a day (a big thing back then). All of their children attended Ypsilanti Public Schools. Our parents lived out their lives in Ypsilanti, MI. The children grew up and started to spread out and we now are living in several states.There are over 200 of us decended form John Henry & Rose Welch Shifferd.

My Interests I like golf and play weakly and I do mean weakly. However I rarely play anymore because of health problems. I am retired I am a House Father My wife, Sheree, makes my life whole and worth living.She is my friend and confidant. She and I have three wonderful children together. They are: Joey, age 28 He works for WinnDixie Grocery Stores Jennifer is 26 and a Graduate of Auburn University at Auburn, Alabama. She is employed by a software company in Huntsville, AL. as a technical writer. Jennifer is married to Art Walthall. He is also a graduate of Auburn University. In 2008 he graduated with a second degree from AUH, Alabama University at Huntsville. He is also employed by a SoftWare Company in Huntsville. Jason is 22 and attending AUM (Auburn University at Montgomery). He is also with WinnDixie Grocery Stores.

My Personal Record I retired the end of 1995 from The Kmart Corp. in Montgomery, AL. after 28 years of service I was a Sporting Goods Manager & District Manager for most of those years. I worked in Pensacola, FL., Mobile, AL., Atlanta, GA. before ending up in Montgomery, AL. as the Hard-Lines Manager. Before coming to Alabama, I worked at Chevrolet Mtr. Div. at Willow Run, Michigan for nearly 10 yrs. I spent 5 yrs. with The Bendix Corp. at Ann Arbor, MI. I attended Cleary College and later Eastern Michigan University at Ypsilanti, MI.
