St. Luke Anglican Catholic Church

The Vestry

The Rector is in charge of the spiritualities of the Parish with exclusive control and direction over the various functions of the Parish.  While he is in charge over all the functions of the Parish, for more order and ease of operation, the Parish elects a Vestry to assist the Rector in the affairs of the Parish.

The Vestry of St. Luke is the governing board of the Parish and has duties concerned with the "directing and administering the business" of the Paris.  The Vestry serves as the legal representative of the Parish with respect to its business and property.

First and above all else the Vestry member is to serve the interests of our Lord and what our Lord wants for His Church.  Following upon this would be the welfare of the whole Parish, the concerns of the Rector, the Diocese, et cetera.  The Vestry member has a responsibility and the work is important, therefore, one should keep in mind the need to be dependent upon God's help to be able to do one's duties.
