Twin Beds

My Overlander came from the factory with a center double bed with facing wardrobe/chest-o-drawers.  My preference, since I have two boys, was to have center twins beds.  Researching Airstream twin bed sizes, I found that the existing center double bed, if left un-extended, was the right size.  Admiring its sturdiness, and light weight design, I mirrored the design into the new twin bed.  Made of Tennessee cherry, various stock plywoods, and cherry plywood recycled from the old wardrobe, it even has the capability to extend like a double bed should I ever feel the need to have a REALLY BIG bed.

Airstream doweled their face frames together.  This pictures shows the assembled face frame clamped while the glue dries

My wife found new mattresses online.  Number 2 son is enjoying the TV as the picture was taken.
