2004 Summertime Adventures! - As soon as school let out, our boys scattered across the hemisphere for mission trips, vacations and adventures. Talk about your small world! How an amazing coincidence connected a young programmer I work with at Lockheed with our family and the governor's office in Kentucky. Maltsberger appears on History Channel! - Our brother-in-law David Maltberger was one of the Biblical historians tapped to share their expertise during a recent History channel show about warfare and technology in biblical times. Watch for it in reruns! 2003 Mission Trips to Venezuela - First Karen went on a state-Baptist sponsored trip. Then the church sent a team exploring the details of establishing a partnership with a church in Miranda. Now we have three church trips planned for 2004, and more for the year after that! Football Road Trip '03 - Our annual "guy" road trip to a football game nearly didn't happen this year; until by some quirk of holiday magic, we were able to get four seats to the "Music City Bowl" Last Gasp of Summer - As the end of July 03 rolled around, we realized we really hadn't had much of a vacation this year, so we started thinking about where we might go. Six Flags sounded about right...First Solo! - After years of gazing at the skies, Dave finally gets the chance to live his dream! Football Road Trip II - After our trip to see the Packers play the Titans last year, Karen decided she liked the idea of getting a whole Sunday to herself once a year. Backpacking Adventure - Our planned three-day hike into the Great Smoky Mountains turns out to be an altogether different adventure than we expected!
