Movies

Lord of the Rings
This was the sweetest movie ever produced for the silver screen. Good
casting, great scriptwriting, and the sets and action scenes were rendered
in such a wonderfully believable form that it was the true definition
of movie magic.
Spiderman
This is the ultimate Marvel comics movie. Better than Batman. Any
of them. Great action. Love the Goblin. It was worth seeing, and maybe
even seeing again. The ending was a little sad in that it was way
too much of a sequel set-up. It's still a cool thing, though.
Episode II: AOTC
This . . . was a little more redeeming than the first one, in that
it had a little bit more plot . . . AND YODA HAD A FIGHT SCENE!!
Ye gods, that was orgasmic. I acmegenesized right there in the auditorium.
Yes, that's it, acmegenesized. It was . . . blissful. All those long
years of waiting for it, and now the only thing I'm waiting for is
Yoda-porn. That's gonna be good.
Minority Report
GREAT MOVIE. This was the only time I've actually seen Tom Cruise
in a movie that both I and my girlfriend like as just a movie. It
was entertaining, kept you wondering about the next plot twist, andthe
characters turned out to be fairly rounded and well-acted. The sets
were cool, the graphics were awesome, and it was the movie
of the summer. This, I would say, would be one of the few that came
out this summer that was not only an original, but a good one at that.
The Count of Monte
Cristo
ALSO A GREAT MOVIE. This is kind of late, because I saw the movie
for the first time before I had a website. I rented it recently and
was reminded of exactly how great this movie was. I was duly impressed
with the acting and the characterization, because it seemed to me
to be award-winning type stuff. The plot-line was one that wasn't
very well known, even though it's classic literature, and it's still
a great plot, so it was a great overall script. And the quotes from
it... Yeah, can we say "delivery?" These were delivered with style,
and finesse and that characteristically wonderful dramatic hit that
occurs when you've driven a line that should be driven home, not just
home but walked it to the door and then taken inside and given the
orgasm of a lifetime by oral ministration. Yes, that good.
One-Hour Photo
Robin Williams rocks my face off. Not really, but after this movie,
I almost it of him. He was very typical Robin Williams, in that he
had a lot of his characteristic quirks, but he gave off that creepy
loser-guy feel really well. No Robin Williams funniness here, just
lots of serious depravity. It was a good date movie, just one to get
your girlfriend scared. Or mine, at least.
K-19
The plot is one that's pretty straight forward, but accelerates at a non-linear rate. It doesn't gradually work up as well as I would have hoped, but it worked up for longer than I expected, but the thickening plot showed off Harrison Ford in a Russian light that I wouldn't have expected to see him. The tension that comes with all submarine movies was naturally present here, and it was very well done and very realistic. The actors were attired and looked like the real thing, and the boat herself basically looked real. The tension that was maintained was of the typical "peak of action" type that most movies get for about 10-15 minutes at the very end, or attempt to maintain throughout the entire show. This one worked up to it very well, and maintained it with precision, and let off at the very end very smoothly. Kudos. Good movie to watch.
