On Saturday April 24, 2004, the Highland Park Association is proud to sponsor Art on the Avenue at Oak Park in Montgomery, AL. This annual arts and crafts festival runs from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm with food, entertainment, children's activities, and fun for the whole family. Admission is free with a canned food donation to the Montgomery Food Bank.

Purpose:

The purpose of Art on the Avenue is to promote and celebrate local artisans by providing an apportunity for them to display and sell their work to the general public and collectors of fine art. This festival is a juried show judged by a panel of distinguished artists, including Nall who will accept the winning artist to an appreticeship at his art colony in the South of France.

Directions:

From Downtown Montgomery:

  • Take I-85 North to Exit 2 (Forest Avenue)
  • Turn left and travel North on Forest Avenue.
  • The entrance to Oak Park will be your second left after the fire station.

From East Montgomery:

  • Take I-85 South to Exit 2 (Mulberry Street)
  • Turn right and follow the road as it curves around Jackson Hospital. At the end of the road, turn right and then take your first left into Oak Park.

Artist Registration & Selection:

Each artist must submit 4 pictures of their work with the completed application and booth fee. Fine art, handmade crafts, decorative or garden items, etc. are among the items to be considered for the show. No resale items will be allowed in the festival. Art on the Avenue reserves the right to reject entries.

Entry Fee & Booth Space:

Each artist booth is available for $100.00 and measures approximately 12'x12'. Deadline for the Application and fee is March 31st, 2004. All cancellations must be made before April 10, 2004 and must be submitted in writing to the Highland Park Association Art on the Avenue. No fees will be refunded in case of weather/rain. Artist vendors are required to make all arrangments for their displays and comfort. Artists must be setup and ready to show at 8:00 a.m. and are required to remain until the festival ends at 4:00 p.m. Demonstrating your work is encouraged.

FOOD VENDORS are responsible for any Health Department clearances, insurance, sales tax, etc.

NO FOOD OR BEVERAGES ARE TO BE SOLD FROM ART AND CRAFT SPACES PLEASE
